Ben Henry is Managing Director of Customer Service Academy of Jamaica (CSAJ), the benchmark for customer service training in Jamaica and Caricom. Prior to that, he was Chief Learning Consultant of Sandals and Beaches Resorts, and before that, Group Director of Training and Development at that company. Dr. Henry has conducted training for several clients throughout the Caribbean.

A former university professor in the United States and college lecturer in the United Kingdom, Dr. Henry is a prolific writer and has authored several books including Quality Customer Care for the Caribbean, a required customer service textbook for tertiary students in the region. His most recent book – How to Become a World-Class Individual: 33 Strategies for Success – is a runaway bestseller.

Dr. Henry sits on several boards, including the University College of the Caribbean, Jamaica; the Suriname College of Hospitality and Tourism (Chair); the Advisory Committee of the School of Hospitality at the University of Technology, Jamaica; the McClenaghan Center for Hospitality Training at Hocking College in Ohio; the Council of Community Colleges of Jamaica; the Human Resource Council of the CTO in Barbados; and the Editorial Advisory Board of the International Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management. He is an Assessor for the University Council of Jamaica, the accreditation body for tertiary institutions in Jamaica; and a former External Examiner of the University of the West Indies. He is also Quality Assurance Examiner for the City and Guilds of London Institute Senior Awards Program.

Dr. Henry holds a Ph.D. in Tourism Administration from the Scottish Hotel School, University of Strathclyde (UK); an M.S. in Educational Administration from the University of Miami (Florida); a B.Sc. in the Social Sciences (Economics) from the University of Leicester (U.K.); and a Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Leeds (U.K.). He is a Certified Hospitality Trainer; a Companion of the International Management Centers Association (CIMCA) of the United Kingdom; and he holds an Honorary Doctorate in Management from Revans University – The University of Action LearningVISION
